Seabridge Gold responds to misleading comments about the KSM Project by Louie Wagner Jr.

Seabridge Gold’s Brent Murphy responded to misleading claims made by Louie Wagner Jr., Representative of the Southeast Alaska Indigenous Transboundary Commission, during the 2024 Peace and Unity Summit in Prince Rupert. In his letter, Brent clarified that KSM is a proposed mine and not an active mine. He also highlighted the water quality monitoring being conducted by Seabridge on the Unuk River, which has shown no degradation in water quality. Additionally, Brent talked about the extensive engagement with Alaskan stakeholders throughout the environmental assessment review and permitting phases of the KSM Project and the design changes made to the KSM Project in response to concerns raised, adding more than $300 million to the Project’s capital cost.
